Colombia Beaches

About 14 times larger than Portugal, Colombia presents a diversity of landscapes characteristic of Latin America: tropical forest, plain, high mountain, ocean and sea Snow-covered peaks with the green expanse of the Amazon, the endless plains of the east.
Villa de Leyva, Barichara, Popayán, Cartagena de Indias or Mompox, or the dynamic metropolises of Bogota and Medellín are destinations of tourists who seek culture and urban life.
The Andes, gives Colombia a variety of climates and magical corners to ensure peace, tranquility and relaxation, and 1,600 kilometers of coastline in the Caribbean Sea with over 300 beaches for all prefferences.
Some beaches are tourist, with services expected to find, and others are natural havens away from the crowds.
* Bocagrande, with hotels, restaurants, clubs, and wide beaches, is located near Cartagena das Indias the most beautiful and unspoilt town in America.
Other beaches in the area are in the Rosario Islands (coral origin), Baru(underwater gardens) and San Bernardo (relaxation, but with intense ocean currents).
* Choco: Located in the Pacific Ocean, Bahia Solano , characterized by pristine waterfalls and beautiful beaches. The banks allow a closer contact with nature.
The Solano Bay is famous for flying fish fishing in May, by the passage of migratory birds from September and, between August and October, the coasts are visited by humpback whales , the largest species in the world, who charms visitors with their love songs.
* Providencia Island: Located 72 km north of San Andrés, Providencia Island is a unique destination declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. For its geographical isolation, primitive infrastructure and a population of only four thousand inhabitants, it is an ideal place to relax in a natural environment.
