The 28th Pork Gastronomic Fair will be held from January 8th to 11th, 2026, at the Pavilhão Multiusos of Boticas.The ancestral agricultural practices and the spirit of mutual help have proved to be important factors in valuing local endogenous products, making the Feira do Porco one of the biggest gastronomic events in the north of the country and making it an important socioeconomic pillar of the Municipality of Boticas. February 2025, 10th to 13th Carnival in Seia is celebrated with cheese, an opportunity to taste the best regional flavors and live with the traditions of Serra da Estrela. In a festive atmosphere and lots of entertainment, the recreation of Quinta do Pastor, the Cão Serra da Estrela shows, the culinary demonstrations, the Bordeaux sheep competition, the traditional taverns, the handicrafts and local products, are also important attraction factors. Feira do Fumeiro de Vinhais When: 6-9 February 2025 Where: Vinhais, Trás-os-Montes two hours east of Porto. Vinhais is a tiny town in the far north-east of Portugal. Having tried the smoked chorizos and meats from Trás-os-Montes, I wont argue with their self-declared title as the capital of smoked meats. They just do it better up there! Expect to find a fair with a huge range of artisanal charcuterie, cold cuts and smoked sausages.

Casa do Campino, Santarém, from October 16th to October 26th, 2025 The "Portugal Trophy" contest will be one of the great novelties this year, putting to the test eight cooks from different regions, who will have to use ingredients from the localities they represent in their recipes. The motto of this year's edition is "Tradition with a taste of the future", combining tradition with modernity. From November 9th, during 9 days, Restaurants from Constância will present their culinary art which main element is the Boar Meat (Javali).
